Molecular Locks
Overview
Molecular Lock compounds are being developed as alternatives to:
- PCR and other hybridization-based methods for nucleic acid target detection
- small, interfering RNAs (siRNAs) for in vivo target suppression
- hormones and other activators for in vivo target activation
- small molecule antibiotics and antivirals for treatment of pathogen infections
- antibody mitigation of cell signaling molecules
- gene knock-out and knock-in technologies for cellular engineering
